Korean childrenswear uses a height-based sizing system that is simpler than the age-based US system or the height-or-age UK system. The label number IS the height in cm that the garment fits. Measure the child's height, round up to the next 10, and that is the Korean size. A 110 jacket fits a 110 cm tall child; a 130 fits a 130 cm tall child.

This system has two practical advantages for visitors. First, it sidesteps the age-vs-height mismatch problem that Western childrenswear creates: a US 4T does not fit every 4-year-old, but a Korean 100 fits a 100 cm child regardless of how old. Second, the conversion is portable: a Korean 130 maps cleanly to a UK 7-8 year, US Boys Small, or EU 134. Korean kid brands publish their size charts in cm directly; cross-referencing is rare.

Two trip-relevant notes. First, Korean kid sizing assumes a slimmer build than the American median for the same height. Heavier-set children may need to size up vs the Korean recommendation. Second, the popular K-fashion kid brands (Bebenuvo, Yogi, Mini-Daon) all follow this system; tourist-targeted gifts at Olive Young / Hyundai / Lotte department stores all label in cm. Buy-as-a-gift visitors should ask the parent for the child's height in cm before shopping, not age.
